More than 10,000 heart rhythm professionals from across the globe converged on San Diego for Heart Rhythm 2025. This year’s Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) annual meeting proved to be a resounding success, drawing an impressive 7,100+ scientific attendees—the most since 2017—signaling a powerful surge of growth, collaboration, and groundbreaking innovation within the electrophysiology (EP) community.
Murj was proud to join the vibrant gathering of EP leaders and innovators at Heart Rhythm 2025. This landmark event offered a unique and invaluable platform to engage in meaningful conversations, discover cutting-edge advancements, and contribute to the shared mission of elevating heart rhythm care and improving patient outcomes.
EP advancements on display
This year’s program was impressive, featuring over 250 sessions led by 1,382 expert faculty and showcasing 1,660 abstract presentations. The excitement was palpable, particularly around the more than 20 late-breaking presentations that unveiled the latest breakthroughs in the field. Key focus areas included pulsed field ablation advancements, AI’s role in predicting hospitalization via wearables, and improvements to atrial fibrillation (AFib) treatment safety.
For Murj, Heart Rhythm 2025 underscored the dynamic progress within EP and the increasing importance of innovative solutions in optimizing patient care. We were thrilled to connect with peers and showcase how Murj is contributing to this exciting era of advancement.

The conference symposium Maximizing joy in the device clinic: Innovations in patient management convened clinicians and EP leaders to explore advancements in CIED management. This special event provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing, commencing with a networking happy hour that fostered connections among attendees.
The symposium program explored how workflow optimization, data-driven insights, and cutting-edge technology are shaping the future of device clinics. Expert panelists shared their experiences and successful strategies for refining clinic processes, reducing manual workloads, and ensuring proactive, patient-centered care through data integration.

Celebrating excellence with 2025 CARE Award winners
The Cardiology Achievement and Recognition of Excellence (CARE) Awards continue to honor healthcare institutions utilizing Murj for their exceptional achievements in CIED care. The 2025 winners were highlighted in a special presentation during the Murj symposium.
The CARE Awards celebrate clinics that consistently maintained CIED care compliance scores of 90 percent or higher throughout a calendar year. These winners have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing outstanding patient care, effectively managing the increasing complexities of CIED patients and data.
New for 2025, the CARE Awards recognized Murj customer clinics that made significant strides in improving their adherence to best practices in cardiac device management. Their workflow optimization efforts have resulted in substantial compliance score improvements and set them on a path to even greater achievement in patient care and operational efficiency.
Team Murj proudly celebrates the dedication and hard work of the 2025 CARE Award recipients. We deeply respect their passion for excellence and are honored to partner with clinics that consistently prioritize the highest standards of care for their patients.
Developing future CIED care leaders
Murj is proud to sponsor the 2025-26 Heart Rhythm Society Leadership and Education for Allied Professionals (LEAP) program. Together, we are working towards a future where allied health professionals (AHPs) are empowered to lead, innovate, and provide exceptional patient care.

Murj was thrilled to connect with past and present LEAP participants during Heart Rhythm 2025. Congratulations to all participants, we look forward to an exciting year ahead! Learn more about the LEAP program.
Showcasing research, presenting insights
Team Murj was pleased to contribute to the scientific program at Heart Rhythm 2025 with two insightful abstract presentations.
Megan McCabe, Murj Clinical Data & Analytics Manager, collaborated with Coco Schauff, Cardiac Device Clinic Program Manager at UW Health, on an abstract poster titled, “Can Remote Cardiac Device Transmissions without Actionable Events be Safely Deprioritized?” The study explored the potential for safely prioritizing remote transmissions based on automated urgency assessments within CIED management software and its effects on clinical workflows.
Additionally, McCabe teamed up with Jessica Parker, Cardiac Device Team Supervisor at The University of Kansas Health System, on an abstract titled, “Automated Text Message Reminders for Patients with Manual Transmission CIEDs – Assessing how automated reminders improve compliance with remote monitoring standards and enhance reimbursement.” An expansion of a previously published study, this work investigated the impact of automated reminders on patient adherence to remote monitoring for manually transmitted devices and its potential benefits for reimbursement.
Information regarding access to these abstract presentations will be available in the near future. Follow Murj on LinkedIn and X to stay informed.
The future of EP and beyond
Wrapping up our time in San Diego, Team Murj engaged with many EP clinicians and professionals, including those familiar with other device management systems—and their limitations. These discussions highlighted the need for a dependable partner to enhance existing workflows, streamline operations, and ensure data interoperability. Murj showcased its robust CIED platform with EHR integration, as well as capabilities in heart failure (HF) management and ambulatory care, reinforcing our position as a reliable partner in the connected health landscape.
See you next year in Chicago for Heart Rhythm 2026!
