MedAxiom is pleased to announce its corporate partnership with Murj, Inc., a digital health company dedicated to helping clinicians streamline care for patients with implantable cardiac devices. Murj is a cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant platform that consolidates data from all implantable cardiac device (CIED) types and manufacturers to deliver deep patient insight and streamlined clinic workflow.

“Our members are interested in technology solutions that improve productivity and remove paperwork burden from clinicians,” said Joe Sasson, PhD, Executive Vice President, MedAxiom Ventures.

“They are seeking automated systems to help manage alerts, reduce data-entry errors, and allow clinicians to focus on the outlier patients who need additional attention. With this in mind, we are very pleased to introduce Murj to the MedAxiom community.”

Murj facilitates an efficient and rapid workflow: a routine device check can be completed in under two minutes with just two clicks for any function on the platform. Physicians can review and approve all device impressions simply, with easy access to patient historical data. Murj allows clinics to boost their productivity, and track and measure care benchmarks for CIED management.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to join the MedAxiom network and connect with their outstanding group of member institutions,” commented Murj CEO and co-founder, Todd Butka, who previously worked in the healthcare device industry and for Apple.

“In our experience, leaders of cardiovascular service lines are among the most savvy consumers of health technology, and we are looking forward to integrating their feedback and perspectives into our platform.” At a time when both patient and data volumes are growing, but staffing resources are not, clinicians must find tools that optimize their time and help expedite the delivery of care to their patients. Murj brings hyper-efficiency and scalability to heart programs that wish to follow and manage their own patients via both in-office and remote device clinics.

“I have had the chance to work with the Murj team since the early development of their platform,” said Michael Mirro, MD, FHRS, FACC, FAHA, Senior VP: Chief Academic Research Officer at Parkview Health System, and a MedAxiom member who specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, clinical research, and health informatics. “The MedAxiom membership is looking for opportunities to significantly move the needle in improving systemic care of cardiology patients, and I believe Murj’s clinical insights and productivity tools will change the paradigm of how we manage our device patient populations. This platform will transform workflow in the clinic for physicians and nursing to allow greater efficiency and utility of remote monitoring data.”

Murj will be exhibiting at MedAxiom’s upcoming CV Transforum conference on April 12-14, 2018, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
